Voorhees State Park
Voorhees State Park was another major park that the Civilian Conservation Corps had worked on. It is located in Clinton, New Jersey. The CCC first arrived at Voorhees in 1933. Voorhees at that time was only three big plots of land that was going to be used to carry out Governer Voorhees's vision of a farm. The CCC took over the land and started to build roads, shelters, buildings, trails, etc. in addition to planting numerous trees, and other plants. They completed everything about eight years later. Each CCC camp had a specific name, the one at Voorhees State Park was known as Camp numer 20 or simply put as Camp Voorhees. Later on CCC Company 1268 was stationed there. During those year over 200 men were employed at the CCC camp in Voorhees State Park.
